Emergency removal
Steam removal is billed by the crew hour and settled on completion. You get the rate and an estimated number of hours before a crew is dispatched, and the invoice matches what was quoted.
Most emergency calls are a few hours of crew time. It is not usually a financing conversation, and we would rather tell you that than sell you one.
When insurance is involved
For water mitigation and dryout, where the policy allows it we bill the carrier directly, so the amount you are out of pocket is the deductible rather than the whole scope. Where direct billing is not available, you are invoiced and the claim reimburses you.
Either way the scope is written in Xactimate line items and the documentation goes with it, because that is what gets a mitigation invoice approved without a fight.
Larger scopes
Full structural drying, extensive tear-out or a permanent heat trace installation can run to a number worth spreading. Financing is available on that work through third-party lenders, with terms disclosed in writing before anything is signed.
We do not mark up the financed price against the cash price. If a quote changes because of how it is paid for, somebody is hiding a fee.
What we will not do
We will not offer to cover your deductible, rebate it, or write an invoice that misstates the work so a claim pays more. Those are insurance fraud, they are offered routinely in this industry after a storm, and accepting one puts the homeowner on the hook alongside the contractor.
If somebody has offered you that this winter, it is worth knowing what they actually offered you.
