Call if water is coming in
The phone beats the form every time for anything active. Dispatch can ask the two or three questions that determine how urgent it is and what equipment to send, which a form cannot.
If you are calling during a freeze event and it rings for a while, keep holding — that week everybody calls at once, and voicemail is the slower path.
What to have ready
The property address, whether water is currently coming inside, roughly how long the ice has been building, and the rough height and pitch of the roof. A photo from the ground helps more than a description.
That is enough to quote the rate and give you a realistic number of hours before anyone leaves the yard.
Commercial and property managers
Say so on the call. Flat and low-slope decks, frozen scuppers, internal drains and snow load on long spans all get handled differently from a residential eave, and they usually need a different crew and a different window.
Portfolio properties can go on a standing storm route rather than calling each time.
